Hungry Girl reviews our Flax Milk
May 14th, 2012, Hungry Girl
This may just be the find of the year! Made from omega-packed flax seeds, the new milk swap is free of dairy, gluten, and soy; plus it has as much calcium as regular milk. It's also EXTREMELY creamy and delicious, and (unlike some soy and almond milks) it has absolutely no aftertaste. SCORE!
In Unsweetened, Original, and Vanilla, a cup has 25 - 60 calories, 2.5g fat, 80mg sodium, 1 - 11g carbs, 0g fiber, 0 - 11g sugars, and 0g protein (PointsPlus® value 1 - 2*). Click to find some near you (it'll be in the fridge section), and prepare to fall in love. (And YES, the unsweetened one has just 25 calories per cup!)

This product is a HIT! If you have tried soy milk as an alternative to dairy, try this Flax Milk. The flavor and mouth feel are perfect, not too vanilla and not too watery, no aftertaste and most impressive, 8 ounces contains 1200 mg of omega 3s.
With just 60 calories and just as much calcium as cows' milk this beverage is cold pressed from unrefined flax seed oil. One glass is just 2 1/2 grams of fat, but does have 11 grams of sugars which come from evaporated cane sugar.
